A restaging of Triton, designed with a team of acrobatic dancers, Triton 2ter was devised as a piece based solely on visual logic. Grotesque figures, straight out of an imaginary circus, populate the stage. With the circular ring, the red carpets and the paper lanterns, the usual trappings of the circus imagery are indeed present... But, at the same time, this imagery is placeless, timeless, always off-kilter to encourage a fresh regard. With flowing flights and body mechanics, the focus in Triton 2ter is on the part of the wonderful gesture, simultaneously entertaining and fun.
