After more than a decade of figure skating, Eric started to dance at the age of nineteen taking his first steps in modern jazz with Redha and Bruno Agati. Philippe Decouflé worked with him for Triton in 1990. This led to eleven years of collaboration during which he worked on the 16th Winter Olympics in Albertville (France), Petites Pièces Montées, Decodex and Shazam!. At the same time, he worked with “Carnets Bagouet” centered on the on the work of Dominique Bagouet and the choreographers Vincent Dupont, Christian Rizzo and Mathilde Monnier. Since 2009, Eric Martin has been designing and creating costumes for live productions. He was assistant to the costume designer for Iris by the Cirque du Soleil directed by Philippe Decouflé.
In 2012, he undertook the choreography, costumes and set coordination of Panorama. He also set the “Albertville” costumes parade in “Opticon”, an exhibition presented in the Grande Halle de la Villette. Since 2011, he directed the rehearsals and coaches the dancers of Panorama. In 2015 he worked on the creation of Wiebo, a tribute to David Bowie commissionned by the Philarmonie de Paris. He is currently on tour with Contact.
